Recently, while in New Mexico, we discovered a whole new way to make hamburgers, adding any toppings you want and throwing it all in a tortilla shell instead of a bun. It’s hard to beat. We’ve made several hamburgers with variations of toppings, our favorites being with guacamole and salsa, and most recently Hawaiian. Put anything you want in it, but here’s one idea:

Coat hamburgers with teriyaki sauce and grill. Grill pineapple slices and peppers. Once hamburgers are cooked through, put hamburgers, pineapple, and peppers in tortilla shell and wrap tightly. Put fold side down on the grill to seal and toast. Flip tortilla and toast for another minute or so. Enjoy immediately.
